Then we went to Hulme. The idea was to have them looking south over the bridge - aspirational - looking to London for fame & fortune etc. But when I got them in position & was walking down to roadside it just looked perfect

You took so many (amazing) black and white photos Kevin, why was that rather than colour?

Nobody published in colour

Kevin, NOBODY took shots like that. You changed it all. The only visual awareness I had of this band that seeped into my soul was Saville’s sleeves and your photos. All your fault.

Thanks. It wasn't very rock 'n' roll was it. Which was the point

Iconic shots - how many did you take that day?

That is such a fantastic an iconic bridge photograph, when it snowed here two years ago it was the inspiration for this photograph.

Have you done a photo shoot with the bridge connecting to the campus? (David Silva leaving shoot maybe?) We walk over it every match day.

As a 16 yr old in the 80’s I went from Brighton to Manchester to stand on that bridge. Joy Division meant everything then and still does.
